Proposed International Headquarters of The Pan-African Dialogue Institute

Site Location

The Pan-African City project is located at  Main Campus of University of Uyo, Off Nwaniba Road, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, with a liaison office located at Abuja.

Landed Space

The landed space for the development of the Pan-African City project was donated by University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, as a practical demonstration of its official collaboration and partnership with TPADI.

Components

The Pan-African City project comprises several internal buildings, such as TPADI International Secretariat, Five-Star Luxury Hotel, Shopping Mall, Radio and Television Stations, Hospital, Residential Quarters, Hostels, etc.

Project timeline

The development of The Pan-African City project is estimated to last for a maximum of five years. It is to be implemented in phases. The current status is documentation, and site preparation.

Consultants and Contractors

The technical consultant – Abumadz Engineering Ltd – and more than 30 contractors (foreign and local) have been engaged to expertly handle the execution of the projects.

Project Overview

The Pan African City Project is an ambitious initiative of the Executive Council of The Pan-African Dialogue Institute.

 It is envisaged to be a state-of-the-art multi-purpose complex; serving as an intellectual and cultural hub that fosters knowledge and cultural exchange, empowerment of African academics, professionals, grassroot leaders and local communities with word-class resources.

 It is located at the main campus of the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. On completion, the complex will serve as the International Headquarters of the Institute – whose threefold mission includes Education in Pan-Africanism, Policy Engagements, and Project Implementation.
