About the Conference

The Pan-African Dialogue Institute in collaboration with the World Council on Pan-Africanism (CoMoPa), the University of Uyo, and the prestigious University of Abomey-Calavi was honored to convene the 2026 Biennial International Conference on Pan-Africanism at the University of Abomey-Calavi, Republic of Benin. Anchored under the visionary theme, “Pan-Africanism of Action: Education, Policy, Projects,” this historic conference marked a decisive shift from theoretical discourse to measurable execution across international borders.

Spanning an intensive schedule, the conference successfully brought together a distinguished global delegation of academics, policy makers, diplomats, traditional rulers, and youth leaders. The event kicked off with high-level arrival protocols and registration, followed by a majestic opening ceremony deeply rooted in cultural heritage. Notably, the opening ceremony had in attendance the official representative of the Vice President of the Republic of Benin, highlighting the summit’s immense state-level significance and diplomatic weight. The core of the summit featured intensive academic masterclasses and research-driven breakout tracks targeting critical frontiers in curriculum reform, economic sustainability, and digital transformation.

Beyond the lecture halls, delegates engaged in high-impact networking during the Pillars of Pan-Africanism Gala Awards Ceremony and immersive cultural site excursions—solidifying collaborative ties between continental leadership and the global African Diaspora.

The 2026 dialogue has successfully established actionable blueprints and concrete project frameworks that will drive continental integration until we reconvene.
