Editors: Mutombo Nkulu-N’Sengha, Effiong Joseph Udo, Mary A. Nyangweso, Emmanuel J. Zwanbin, Cosmas Ebo Sarbah

The Pan-African Dialogue Institute, domiciled in the University of Uyo, Nigeria is pleased to call for papers for its quarterly journal: AFRICA IN DIALOGUE – An International Journal of Pan-Africanism. ‘Africa in Dialogue’ provides a platform for the exchange of scholarly works across a wide range of disciplines, including but not limited to science and innovation, religion and philosophy, sociology, economics, politics, peace and security, law and human rights, communication, education, history, environment, and health — all viewed through the lens of Pan-Africanism.

The Journal is dedicated to addressing the intellectual gap that often overlooks or marginalizes the ideals of Pan-Africanism and African agency. As an open-access publication, it seeks to disseminate research analyses and perspectives from academics, scholars, civil society leaders, and policymakers across Africa and the diaspora. Its mission is to promote and advance Africa’s traditional wisdom, unity, dignity, solidarity, self-reliance, and rich material and cultural heritage.

Contributors are encouraged to explore the relevance of Pan-Africanism from interdisciplinary perspectives and to examine how it shapes education, development policies and practices, as well as socio-economic and political discourses at local, national, and supranational levels. Articles should investigate the multiple dimensions of Pan-Africanism, offering practical, empirical, and theoretical insights for education, policy research, and the design and implementation of development initiatives across the continent.

The Journal also welcomes analyses of how multilateral dialogue can deepen engagement and promote cooperative rather than competitive approaches to achieving African unity and sustainable development.

Papers are expected to cover, but not limited to the following themes:
