The Pan-African Dialogue Institute

The Pan-African Dialogue Institute (TPADI) is announcing a date adjustment for the forthcoming 2nd Biennial International Dialogue Conference on Pan-Africanism 2026. Originally scheduled for late May, the conference will now take place from June 3rd to June 7th, 2026.

The venue remains the same: the University of Abomey-Calavi in Cotonou, Benin Republic. This adjustment follows an urgent appeal from the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) in Benin. The conference’s original dates coincided with the inauguration week of Benin’s new President, H.E. Mr. Romuald Wadagni.

To honor this significant national event and ensure that Benin’s dignitaries can participate fully in both the inauguration and our international dialogue, the leadership of the Institute has approved the new June schedule. Additionally, this shift will help delegates avoid the heavy traffic and logistical congestion associated with national celebratory events. TPADI extends hearty congratulations to H.E. Mr. Romuald Wadagni on his recent electoral victory. In the spirit of Pan-African solidarity, we have cordially invited the President and his entourage to grace the Conference Opening Ceremony on Thursday, June 4th, 2026, as a Special Guest of Honour.

We believe this 21st-century yearning for Pan-African-oriented leadership is vital for the peace and progress of the Benin Republic and the entire continent.

Effiong Joseph Udo, PhD President, The Pan-African Dialogue Institute
