Pluralism, Dialogue and Democracy in Africa

The Pan-African Dialogue Institute in collaboration with the Dialogue Institute at Temple University, Philadelphia, United States of America hosted its first Africa Dialogue Conference on the theme: Pluralism, Democracy and Dialogue in Africa.  This event took place virtually on Thursday December 8, 2022.

According to Dr. Effiong Udo – the Africa Dialogue Project lead and coordinator of the conference, “I am delighted that many people participated in the conference. Attendance list indicates that not only people from Africa, but also from Russia, China, and the US were present at the conference. Many thanks also to the leadership of Temple University whose Vice President on Global Engagements – Prof. Martyn J. Miller addressed the conference. With the final submission of corrected versions of their papers for peer-review, presenters will be published in an edited issue of the Journal of Ecumenical Studies”.

Meanwhile, the Conference Steering Committee has decided to make the conference an annual event, and anticipating a physical conference in the nearest future. The next conference will be held on December 7-8, 2023.
